How You Can Help

Make a Gift

UWAY Postcard 09 APeople who face tough challenges raising infants and toddlers — e.g. adolescent or under-educated or poor parents — can make positive changes in their lives. They can advance the healthy growth and development of their very young children. They can achieve their educational goals; negotiate systems of child care, health care, and housing; get and keep jobs that pay at least a living wage and offer advancement possibilities. And they can do all these things cost effectively and efficiently within our network of award winning local family support programs. The good news is that last year we helped over 5,000 children and adults. The bad news is that there are thousands more Marylanders who need our help.

Become an Advocate

Every year the Maryland General Assembly considers more than 2,000 bills in the midst of a lot of noise, and a lot of pushing and shoving. Energy, insurance, and real estate corporations spend huge amounts of money and time in Annapolis, working to persuade legislators to look out for their interests.

At Maryland Family Network, we don’t let the competition intimidate us. We harness the power of the parents, child care providers, and community leaders that we work with and serve. Together, we provide a booming voice to advocate for services that promote positive outcomes for our youngest and most vulnerable citizens.

We don’t have the the same deep pockets as other lobbying groups in Maryland, but we have an extraordinary record of accomplishment. And we know what we’re fighting for. We’re fighting for families everywhere in Maryland. We’re fighting for you.  Join our ranks — Sign up for Public Policy Action Alerts.
