Search for Child Care Now

Effective at close of business on March 27, all child care programs are to be closed except those programs which have been established by the State to serve only designated essential personnel.

Child care programs established by the State are at no cost to designated essential personnel only when:

1. The child care program has received prior approval for this service; and

2. The parent has completed an application for such services and submitted it to the program they will use with documentation of their essential status (photo ID, etc.).

Children attending the State-funded child care programs will be kept an appropriate distance from each other with ratios of a minimum of one teacher and nine children (1:9) for school-age and smaller class sizes for younger children.

Parents are strongly urged to keep children at home as the first and best option to protect them from the virus.

A list of child care sites approved by MSDE can be found at the links below. These lists are updated daily.
