Campaign Manager: Time to Care coalition
Location: Baltimore and Annapolis, Maryland
Duration: Full-time temporary contract. Expected term Oct. 2020-May 2021.
Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to expand the innovative statewide campaign in Maryland to pass a meaningful paid family leave policy in the General Assembly. The Campaign Manager will play a critical role in developing and executing campaign strategy, expanding organizational partnerships, and coordinating media, grassroots, and outreach efforts.
Primary Responsibilities

Provide leadership for campaign planning, strategy formation, coalition work, grassroots support, and policy advocacy.

Work effectively with key leadership of major allied organizations and assist these key leaders in forging and implementing a common agenda and action plan.

Plan and schedule coalition and leadership meetings. Foster strong internal communication and accountability among coalition members.

Strengthen partner organizations’ advocacy capacity around shared goals. Coordinate advocacy efforts.

Expand coalition by recruiting new, broad, diverse constituencies.

Develop and maintain relationships with opinion leaders and policy stakeholders.

Represent the Time to Care coalition in public settings. Elevate members of the coalition in the media.

Coordinate with consultants and partner organizations on digital strategy.

Work collaboratively with policy and communications staff and consultants to produce accessible communications and civic engagement materials.

Analyze and assess progress to goals, adapt plans as situations change.
Desired Qualifications
-
A minimum of three years experience managing regional or state-level advocacy campaigns, electoral campaigns, and/or running coalition efforts.

Experience in Maryland politics and moving campaigns in the state.

Demonstrable experience building diverse and effective alliances and collaborations.

Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to work collaboratively.

Excellent communication (written and oral) skills.

Willingness and ability to travel throughout Maryland.

Self-motivated, creative thinker with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to meet deadlines and problem-solve.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, social media, website management tools, and online networking tools a plus.
Compensation: This is a contract position with the possibility of renewal beyond the initial contract period (October 2020-May 2021). The contract is for $6,000 per month.
