
Position Title: Grants Coordinator
FLSA Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Statewide Director Strong Families
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Maryland Family Network (MFN) is seeking a dynamic Grants Coordinator to support the Strong Families Department grants management cycle. The Grants Coordinator will take a lead role in management of the grantee documents and support continuous quality improvements, assist with programmatic research and coordinate Strong Families Department meetings. In conjunction with the Statewide Director, the Grants Coordinator will collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including grant applicants, grantees, program staff, and the finance team.
Minimum qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Communications, Business Management, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, or Human Services), and/or equivalent experience preferred.
Prior experience of at least 3 to 5 years working in an administrative or operations capacity required.
Additional specific experience is desired and includes assisting with or managing the review of applications for awards and selecting finalists for consideration; establishing or following established procedures for accepting grant applications and processing paperwork, including letters of inquiry, proposals, budgets, and financial reports; coordinating with a decision-making body to identify grant recipients, monitor progress, and evaluate results; communicating with applicants about the status of their grant applications; preparing reports summarizing grant activities, including expenditures and outcomes; experience managing relationships with grantors to ensure their needs are met and they are satisfied with the performance of grant recipients; monitoring compliance regarding the use of grant funds.
Prior experience in a nonprofit setting preferred.
Ability to represent MFN in public.

Relationship-focused approach to working with people.
Strong and proactive oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), database management, and event registration software.
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to travel within the state of Maryland for participation at conferences, meetings, and events.
