Facebook Gifts

Support Maryland Family Network by making a donation via Facebook. Or host a Facebook fundraiser for your next birthday or for #GivingTuesday. Ask your friends to honor you by donating to Maryland Family Network and share why you care about our work. This is a great way to raise awareness about our mission and introduce us to new people near and far. Host a Facebook fundraiser or make a gift.

Recurring Monthly Donations

Are you on a budget, but want your gift to have a bigger impact? Monthly donors support our work year-round. A $5 monthly donation, the cost of a cappuccino or latte, adds up to $60 at year end. A $25 monthly donation, the cost of an entree at a restaurant, turns into $300 in just 12 months. Set up automatic payments charged to your credit card and stop them at any time if you need to. Become a monthly donor.

Tribute Gifts

Gifts can be made in honor of or in memory of someone special. This is a great way to recognize your parent or other family member, an early childhood educator or child care provider, or simply remember a special birthday or anniversary of a friend while also helping someone else in need. When making your gift, let us know who you are honoring or memorializing, the person you’d like us to notify along with their address and any special message you’d like to include, and we’ll take care of the rest.Tribute gifts can easily be made online. Be sure to select “Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone” and a prompt will appear to collect more info.

Donated Stock

Transferring appreciated stock from your account to Maryland Family Network can reduce your capital gains tax and may provide greater tax benefits than a cash gift. We suggest you consult with your financial advisor or tax professional before making a gift of stock. For instructions on how to donate gifts of stock to Maryland Family Network, please contact Development Director Jennifer Andiorio.

Matching Gifts

Many companies and private foundations provide matching support for charitable gifts made by their employees. Ask your Human Resources office if your employer has a matching gift program and how it works. Maryland Family Network is a registered charity on Benevity, a platform that many companies use for matching gifts. A match is an easy way to maximize your contribution and may double – or even triple— the impact of your gift.If your HR office requires information about us, please contact Development Director Jennifer Andiorio.

Workplace Gifts

Many companies and government agencies participate in charity campaigns and are a convenient way for current and retired employees to support their local community. Gifts can be automatically deducted out of your paycheck, spread out over several months, or paid in one lump-sum.

Make a donation to MFN through one of the following workplace campaigns by selecting our designated charity code:

  • United Way Campaign for participating private companies – 6257
  • Baltimore City Employee United Way Campaign (formerly the Combined Charity Campaign) – 6257
  • Maryland Charity Campaign for state employees – 52-1486702
  • Combined Federal Campaign for federal employees – 68173

Planned Gifts

You can be part of Maryland Family Network’s’ legacy by making a planned gift, which is a charitable gift you create now to support future generations of children. There are many options for planned gifts, including bequests, IRA contributions, charitable trusts, retirement plans, life insurance, and charitable gift annuities. We suggest you first consult with your financial advisor or tax professional before determining which gift option is best for you and then notify Development Director Jennifer Andiorio.
