The Advanced Training of Trainers Institute

The Advanced Training of Trainers Institute has moved to an online course due to COVID-19 restrictions for in person trainings. This  six session virtual course is an opportunity for experienced trainers, who have completed the Responsive Training Symposium, to expand their knowledge and understanding of training techniques and principles of adult learning. Using the information presented in the highly acclaimed Responsive Training Symposium as a base, we will explore the theory and practice that enables trainers to excel in their work. Topics to be covered in the Advanced Training of Trainers Institute include: graphic techniques (including technology tips), question/answer strategies, group process/group dynamics, multiple intelligence theory, public speaking and critiquing skills. Participants are required to complete specific written assignments to be submitted prior to each session. The class modules must be taken in sequence.

All participants must pre-register as space is limited. The fee is $300 and includes training materials. Registration fees are non-refundable. Confirmation letters will be mailed to participants.

Please see the Events Calendar to find upcoming sessions of the ATOT. For more information, please contact Consuelo Dailey by email or at 410.659.7701 x274. The Advanced Training of Trainers Institute is sponsored by Maryland State Department of Education’s MCCRN Contract and Maryland Family Network.

You must complete Part I before you can take Part II. We strongly encourage participants to attend all three sessions in order to obtain the full benefit of the educational training sequence. Certificates acknowledging completion of the Responsive Training Symposium will be awarded and emailed to participants upon successful completion of all 3 modules.

Registration is only accepted online. Registration fees are non-refundable. Confirmation letters will be emailed to participants.
